Back in 2001, after enjoying the game of Shanghai Rummy during free time at the Women’s Retreat, a group of Westminster women decided to continue playing on a monthly basis in member’s homes. The group of about 15 members has met monthly since that time and enjoyed evenings of fellowship and friendly competition. Recently the group has been growing in size and the women decided a move to the church would allow space for more players to join. Starting on April 6, the Women’s Shanghai Card Group will meet at the church in the Haverkamp Room. We play the first Monday of each month from 7:15 p.m. until about 10 p.m. Any woman who loves playing cards, friendly competition, and fellowship is invited to attend. Come once and try it – come any month you are free. No experience is necessary – it is easy to learn and we have players who will love to teach you. A light snack is provided.
