Presbyterian Women (PW) is a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. Presbyterian Women is organized at all levels of the PC (USA) in congregations, presbyteries, and synods as well as General Assembly. PW is committed to:

  • Nurturing faith through prayer and Bible study
  • Supporting the mission of the church at home and worldwide
  • Working for justice and peace
  • Building an inclusive, caring community of women

PW is organized into friendship groups called Circles. Westminster has six circles that meet at various times and locations to accommodate the widely varying and active schedules women keep. There is a Circle to fit into even the busiest life!
See the Westminster Update in the Worship bulletin for monthly meeting information or contact moderator
Bonnie Nasr or staff liason Clara Beth Van de Water, 703-549-4766 ext. 120.

Women's Circles

Currently Westminster has six circles. The circles will meet monthly beginning in September for Bible study, fellowship and service.  Listed below are the circles and the meetings times.  The circles may gather in different locations in June, so please check with your chair(s).

All women are invited to participate in a circle beginning in September 2012! The new Bible study will be Dispatches to God's Household: The General Epistles. These letters were written by first century Christians in Asia Minor who worshipped in house churches. The study author, Dr. Benson Nichols, says the central message is that, “through the power of the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, God calls women and men to live as sisters and brothers, serving one another in truthfulness and love as members of God's household.”
