Presbyterian Women (PW) is a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. Presbyterian Women is organized at all levels of the PC (USA) in congregations, presbyteries, and synods as well as General Assembly. PW is committed to:

  • Nurturing faith through prayer and Bible study
  • Supporting the mission of the church at home and worldwide
  • Working for justice and peace
  • Building an inclusive, caring community of women

PW is organized into friendship groups called Circles. Westminster has six circles that meet at various times and locations to accommodate the widely varying and active schedules women keep. There is a Circle to fit into even the busiest life!
See the Westminster Update in the Worship bulletin for monthly meeting information or contact moderator Bonnie Nasr or staff liason Clara Beth Van de Water, 703-549-4766 ext. 120.

Presbyterian Women Winter Gathering
Full Circle Meeting

Sometimes our faith journeys take us out of our comfort zone and beyond our wildest dreams.

When: Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Haverkamp Room
Speaker: Reverend Lucy Der Garabedian, Major and Chaplain for the U.S. Army

Mark your calendar! Come find inspiration and unity in a beautiful story of faith, courage, conviction and witness to God’s amazing faithfulness. Lucy will be speaking to us about her life. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Lucy reluctantly but faithfully followed God’s path for her, to escape civil war and maximize her mission potential as a woman  in service to God. She found courage and opportunity to fulfill her dream of becoming a Presbyterian minister, despite the odds against her. Empowered with four languages, and incredible faith journey, and an international advanced education, this unique woman now ministers to war-wounded soldiers of the Warrior Transition Brigade for Ft. Belvoir. We pray that her message will increase our understanding of how each of us is a chosen disciple in Christ’s “Full Circle Mission.”
