Fellowship Opportunities
Saturday, July 11: Join us at the USA/Alexandria Birthday Celebration for the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra’s “Pops on the Waterfront” concert. Bring your own picnic or buy food at the event. Carpool from church at 5:30 p.m. (or meet at Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison Street). Entertainment starts at 6:00 p.m. with grand finale cannon and fireworks at 9:30 pm. Monday, July 13: Our Dine-Out in July will take us to Rabieng Thai located at 5892 Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads. To carpool, meet at the church by 7:00 pm. Otherwise, we’ll see you at the restaurant about 7:15 pm.
Tuesday, July 28: Our July Potluck takes place in the Johnson Parlor at 7:00 p.m. where we will gather for a time of food and fellowship. Please bring a salad, entrée, or dessert to share. We will also make sandwiches for the Bag Lunch program (materials provided). Please bring a can of food for ALIVE! for the basket in the church foyer.
Sunday, August 9: Join us for Brunch at Clyde’s, at 1700 N. Beauregard Street, Mark Center. This will be instead of our monthly Monday Dine-Out. Please let Nancy Hall Berens know by Friday, August 7 if you plan to attend (nhallberens@wpc-alex.org), but go ahead and join us even if you decide to come at the last minute! Meet after church to carpool or meet us there at 11:30 a.m.
September 14: Dine-Out at Gadsby's Tavern in Old Town (138 N. Royal St) Choose from the regular dinner menu or choose the less expensive "petite savouries," soups and salads.RSVP is helpful but not required
October 2-4: Make your reservations now for our fall Singles Retreat to historic Colonial Williamsburg where we will explore the theme of religious life in the colonies.
